dual cores are pretty much the standard today.

i love my dual core, would never go back

but if u guys wana spend some extra $$$, go for the quad.

sure, most programs cant utilize all the threads, but so wat, ur set in furturproffing for a wile

but for a good dual core, try this

yes, your gfx card may bottleneck with the RAM as well may as well get a good dual core setup.

You can actually buy a cheap mobo/dual core/RAM combo for very cheap. About $150. Look:

I would 100% agree with worship me. I put out a couple extra dollars for a simple CPU upgrade and actually was not happy at all and ended up scrapping the whole thing and bought a new mobo/ram/cpu for $200(spent a tad more for a slightly better CPU) Well it made a world of difference.

On a side note I have an old AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (S939) single core processor and heatsink kicking around, If you like I can send it for shipping rate plus maybe $20.

That won't work. It's an AM2 not a 939. He'd be screwed sideways if he folows that advise.
