Hello I recently bought a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118112
for my sisters CPU and it currently is running at 1300rpm with a ability to go to 2600rpm.
The fanmate it came with I hooked up and it for some reason makes the mother board beep like crazy. Not sure how to make it work...or is there a good program that will allow me to turn the speed of the fan up? Perhaps in the bios?
The fan also stays at 1300-1350 while running a PC game so the temps atm idle is 35-36c but because it doesn't speed up as HL2 is running it gets hotter then it should.
Her system specs are
Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4ghz single core San Diego
256mb PCI-e EVGA 7600GT (Zalman VGA cooler)
Thermaltek Tr2-430w PSU
4gb PC3200 memory
Mother board Nforce 410/430 MCP
Vista Home Premium
I was thinking of trying a program like Rivatuner but I never messed around with it and I don't want to damage anything in the process. So if anyone could show me how it would happen would be greatfull. Id like to set it up to go 1600-1700 rpm while idle and full blown 2400-2600 while gaming if possible.
