Hi, I'm new to laptop rams. I'm looking to buy more ram for my HP zd8000 laptop. I went on the HP site and found some rams that are compatible but it's too expensive:

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/product_detail.do?product_code=EE687A

I also went on newegg and found others but I'm not sure if it's compatible: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134605

My laptop can be maxed out at 4gig of RAM. I want to max it out.
Can somone who is more familiar help me out or suggest other brands that I could look into that is also compatible with my laptop?

Thanks in advance.

yes , if he wanted to max it out go with his ,but it wont work
if you want it to work , go with mine

Thanks all. One question. What are the specs that I need to look for to make sure it's compatible?

Thanks.

doesn't have to be pc2 4200. Faster ones will work, slower ones will work. It needs to be ddr2 though, and obviously needs to be laptop ram.

But getting pc2 4200 would be the ideal situation, anything slower will obviously be slower and anything faster will automatically be clocked down to 533mhz. (pc2 4200) So if the faster one is more expensive then there is no point in getting it since the computer will not be able to use the extra speed unless you overclock, which I doubt you will do with a laptop. :D
