disc brakes on bike

like the others have said, you need a rim with holes drilled and tapped on the hubs that can accept disc brakes screwed into them then you mount the calipers on the bike's frame (obviously).

Well you must have some high performance pads on it then, most every bike with standard brakes I've ever had won't do that....lol

Almost any properly configured (and dry) caliper brakes will do this.

Yeah im pretty sure im just going to do an overall tune up on the bike + new chain and brake pads.

I need a new bike.

-17.5" is too small, I need 19"
-Both shifters have cracked due to UV exposure and flying over handlebars thing.
-Front derailer is slightly messed up, rear is fairly messed up.
-Rims are slightly bent.
-Cabling is long due for replacement.
-Tires are worn out highly, from sliding down sharp rocks.
-2-3mm sag in horizontal rod that connects fork to seat.

Time for a new one :)

mine is like that...
26", need a 27"
breaks cables like mad
bent wheels from getting hit by a car and hitting a few cars
crappy brakes
weighs a ton
I'm sure the frame is bent
the chain is in need of replacement
derailers suck

I wanna get myself a road bike... I don't care how good it is, as long as its the right size, light, good condition, and good brakes. thats all I need... and then I don't have to worry about driving for a good while...
