What exactly do you use the PC for?
For the moment I recommend a new GPU and mobo (AM2+) as the 8400GS is pretty weak and AM2+ means you can take full advantage of a Phenom if you want to upgrade later.

Definitely the new mobo and video card then. Your CPU is fine for the moment and as it's the Brisbane core, I'm sure you could get it a couple hundred MHz higher.

My recommendations would be either the 9600GT, the HD 3870/3850 or the 8800GS. All can be found for less than $185.

I second the 9600GT, that or an 8800GT 512 if you have a bit more cash they can be had for close to $200 after rebate off the egg....
