http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037- CPU. If this PC is for gaming then I recommend a Wolfdale E8400. Almost all games are single threaded and cannot take advantage of quads, therefore, a higher clocked dual core will almost always give better results in games. Here are some benchmarks to prove it:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130098- Mobo, this is one of the best P35 motherboards currently available. It has excellent heatpipe fanless cooling and great overclocking capabilities.
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703005- The PSU is the part of a PC you do NOT want to skimp on and PC Power & Cooling make some of the best available. Plus it has one large 12V rail instead of several smaller ones which is better as with split lower powered rails, some may become overloaded.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034- RAM, I recommend two sets of this if you will be running Vista for a total of 4GB, when I went from 2GB to 4GB, I noticed a nice boost. If you are running XP, then 2GB will be sufficient. I forgot to add that this memory can reach 1100MHz, want proof? Here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152052- I have this very HDD and would recommend it to anyone. 500GB is a great size ATM.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130325- GPU. Aha! So now we come to the video card, the most important part of your shiney new gaming machine, this features 128 stream processors instead of the 8800GT's 112 and has a better cooler (The 8800GT's reference cooler isn't anything to write home about). And this new 8800GTS G92 delivers 8800GTX performance. If you're gaming at very high resolutions however then I would recommend the new ATI HD 3870X2 (The fastest single card on the market):

And finally to cool your nice Intel C2D E8400, you're going to need a nice aftermarket cooler:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151152- Disk drive.
As for the case, it's just a personal preference really, but I like the Thermaltake Armor.
If you need any other info then please ask.
