Laptop problem.

a friend said this would be more suitable here.

I am trying to share my Wireless network connection so i can play xbox live anywhere i have my laptop and internet access. it is as simple as network connections->Wireless connection->properties->sharing->tick the box. upon ticking the box i get an error stating there is already a computer with this ip address. anything i can do to switch the other computers ip address

you can give it a static ip. you might also have to forward a port through your router settings but i'm not sure i've never tried what you're doing before. hope ya get it.

p.s. i'd take that bottom link out if i were you, never know. some haxorz might be roaming this site and stumble on that with bad intentions haha.

i believe port forwarding gave me the problem but i will do that. question, do i use port forwarding on the laptop or the computer the router is configured to. even though the outcome is to the router itself. all i need to make sure none of my computers have an ip of 192.168.0.1, which is my routers ip.
