Not always, I didn't. When MS shipped mine back they had a letter telling me my console was faulty and unrepairable and that they had sent me a new console instead.

I'm talking about the same model number, if you have an older model, you'll get an older model back, new or repaired or refurbished or whatever. You don't return an older model and expect a new upgraded model back. Thats what I was talking about.
