In December I received a brand new Acer TravelMate 7510 laptop. About two weeks ago I noticed that the fan was acting a bit weird, it made a grinding noise and then a really high pitched sound - something must have been in there. Anyway, I ignored it. Yesterday the high pitched noise got too loud so I resorted to hitting above where the fan was and here is the result...
As you can see, the processor is 85C (which is the stated maximum limit for this processor) but has been as high as 95C and the graphics card is 114C (nVidia limit the card so that it can't go over 115 even though I did have a reading of 116 at one point).
Methinks I should try and fix it haha!
