Blue ray wins? What does that mean?

what really sucks is for the people who bought an HD-DVD player. I remember the HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox came out for $200. Not many people bought it at that time but then a price drop hit that dropped the price to $129 and a lot of them were bought. Now Microsoft just announced their discontinuation of the HD-DVD player add-on. Tough luck for some but it could have been worse for PS3 owners if things went in HD-DVD's favour.

Hence why everyone should just buy a PS3.Also because they have discontinued that,all the games will be on DVD's,I see future games on several discs,Where as the PS3 will only have to have 1 because instead of only having 4.8gb (Single layer DVD) it has 25gb (Blu ray)!

we have an HD DVD player we bought it for planet earth on HD-DVD and some other movies...but the fact is we got it on black friday for <200 and it can play normal DVDs so it really wasnt that great of a loss....
