Never heard of Excelstor, you might want to stick to the better known brands like western digital, hitachi and seagate.

Edit: the reviews on it are good, I'd go for it then.

For only $1 more, I would recommend the Maxtor STM380215AS 80GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache SATA-300 drive.

But then, that Exelstor does have a larger cache and two different power connections making it easier to power. The reviews are good too.

Brand name wise, yes. It is backed by a great warranty and they do have good customer service.

Performance wise, it may lag behind the Exelstor a bit because of it's smaller cache.

Then i got a mouse, keyboard, and speakers picked out. Still need a cheap monitor though.

What do you think? I was trying to keep at at $200 its about $233 (not including shipping or a monitor)
