What is the difference between DVI and HDMI? Which is better?

And if a monitor has built in speakers, could you still use your own speakers instead of the monitor speakers?

DVI only carries the video input. HDMI carries the sound and video. They both provide the same quality of signal.
And to answer your second question, yes.

Another question if I may... how do I know if my PC is VGI and HGMI compatible?

Your graphics card will most definitely have either VGA or DVI output or both. Of course you can buy VGA to DVI adapters and vice versa.

I have a vga for sure since that's what I use. I have a couple of others that look like the third one.

Was I suppose to get a pic of DVI connector on the second one because I didn't. What type of connector do you think I have other than the VGA?

Yes it does and I believe you will tell I can use an adapter for DVI connector, right? Are they cheap in price?

A VGA to DVI you mean? Yes they are very cheap. They are always bundled with graphics cards as well.
