Pentium 4 cedar 3.0 mill vs Pentium d 3.4 witch one is better im looking to build a home office computer just for getting on the internet and downloading and listening to music please help

The Pentium D is the better processor as it's a dual core and the Pentium 4 is a single core CPU. But I recommend the Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160. It has a newer better architecture than Pentium D, is a lot more energy efficient and can do much more per clock cycle (a 1.8GHz E2160 is faster than a 3.4GHz Pentium D).
