Computer Build questions *new guy*

OK I just updated my order for the coputer, I dropped the 8800GT card and went with the 9600GT EVGA card:eek: EVGA say's its a better Card, sucks up less power and will provide = to or better graffix:D and it was $70 cheaper

Sorry, but that's not a better card than the 8800GT. It's slightly less powerful than the HD 3870. If you wanted to spend less money on a graphics card then you should have gone with the 8800GS. It uses the G92 core (same as the 8800GT and 8800GTS) and costs $160.

I personnaly would go for two kits of this stuff: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145033- Corsair use Micron chips.
No they don't. The newest model of those use Infineon B chips. Either way, it doesn't really matter since he's not going to be overclocking too much.

The 9600GT is only $20 more than the 8800GS, and is significantly faster. It's a great deal, definitely the best in that price range. It's a much better deal than the 8800GT, which is still overpriced.

The 9600GT is not faster than the 8800GS, they're both around as fast as the HD 3870.

Yea I saw that a review is allready out, and the fact my computer is pushed out untill the 12th is no good, waiting for the card to get here:mad: going to call back and cancel it. going back to the 8800gt card.
*update*
Called and back to the EVGA 8800GT, I was not going to be around when it would be shipped. Coast Guard, duty stuff, they were awsome to allow me to change back.

"The best card in its price range for performance with antialiasing enabled"
http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/02/21/nvidia_geforce_9600_gt/page20.html

Not to mention it has more VRAM, depending on the size of his monitor that would be extremely useful.

Either way you'd be better off spending a little more for the 8800GT.
Bugger! I was going to take that statement back but I couldn't because I had to deal with a b**tard of a trojan.
