is this card all its hipped to be, its an affordable SLI solution but has anyone owned one here, look at sig it will be on a comp about the same (the current comp does not have SLI slots on board .

Whatever you do, DO NOT SLI two 8600GTs. It is really not worth buying a new mobo for. You will get better performance out of a single 8800GT or even GS. Although you might want to consider the new 9600GT. It's supposed to be out now and performs about the same as the 8800GS. BTW, $160 is a very good price. It's even lower than the 3850s.
EDIT: Don't bother waiting for a 9600GT to appear, just get the 8800GS, it really is a very good deal, and it uses the G92 core.

Yes, the 9800Gx2 is going to be two G92s on two PCBs. I'm talking about the 9800GT.
