What is shared mememory in the bios?

I have the options for 64, 128, and 256. Not exactly sure what it is for.

If you have onboard video, that setting determines how much of the installed memory will be allocated to the graphics system.

Thats what I thought, thanks. I'll just keep it at the lowest setting.
