I have decided that i'm going to get an 8800GT because i'm really getting into gaming & I'm addicted to Crysis and just bought Company of heros. I'm have a few questions.

1st - if I get 8800 should i run it in sli with my 8600, I know you should match up memory and clock speeds, but i should still see some improvement shouldent I?

2nd - Which of these cards should i get, or do you have any recommendations?
My Budget is around $250

I thought about saving up for the 9 series, but i think i would be better off the but an 8800 then when the 9 comes out and the 8800 price drops buy another

Probably. At least to me 2 cards at x quality is better than 1 at 1.5x quality.

EDIT:
Atomic Rooster: Is that true? 1 8800GT will dominate 2 8600. That's crazy. Would have never thought

No.
1 8800GT is alot faster than 2x 8600GT in sli. Unless of course you just want to save money, in that case a 8600GT is less than $100 where as the 8800GT is over $300. But the performance is alot better in the 8800GT even in that situation.

Yes JogaBonito1502 it is true. The 8800GT is nearly three times faster than a single 8600GT. Now throw in another 8600GT and run them in SLI, and you get at the most a 40 - 50% increase in performance. Still not near enough to come close to a single 8800GT.
