Not a good idea, that will break something and then you will have to pay to get it fixed.

well, it fixed its self like 8 hours later, so I'm hoping that the silicon stuff just worked its way in there.

I'll go over the gaskets with the same stuff on a rag. should keep it not frozen.

I had a problem like this that comes and goes on my junky old car we drive in the pasture. The passenger side door will decide to not latch sometimes and just bounces back open. I just have to roll down the window a bit, hear a click and it will latch, lol. I don't worry about it since we don't drive the car on the road though. Since we have a fix for it that works... Doesn't make any sense to me (the mechanically uninclined), but that's what it does.
