I have an old laptop (Sony Vaio PCG-F290) which is broken. Whenever I turn it on it the power light comes on (so does the battery light even if it is not present) and thats it - nothing else happens. I would guess that its the motherboard. If it is the motherboard is there any way of fixing it (I doubt it), I have tried to look for a replacement motherboard without success. Thank you for any help.
