What video card should I get?

I think the MSRP is actually $200, but they're marked up a lot because they're so hard to find.

The 256MB version MSRP = $200

the 512MB Version MSRP = $250

As well as the 3850, there is also the 8800GS that is now out.

Would getting an extra 1 gig of ram and an 8600GT be better than just getting an 8800GT?

I've also looked on newegg for 939 processors but there are only a few there and they arent better than the one I have right now.

id like to just do some basic upgrades on my comp, not get an entirely new mobo, I think.

An 8600GT isn't really going to provide a worthwhile performance increase, so get an extra gig of RAM (make sure it's 2x512 and that it has the same latencies as your current RAM) And save up for a 3850 or 8800GS.

Organize the servers by ping, and join the lowest one.

Make sure no one in your house is on the internet downloading


make sure you are not downloading anything (bittorrent ect...)
