Good CPU Cooler for Q6600 Quad Core

9700 is probably your best bet.
Its the easiest to install of the best ones available I think.

The Tower 120 is hell to fit personally.

You'll have to remove the motherboard though either way to fit the new retention plate behind it.

Thats no problem at all, as long as it stays in and cools well.

Is the Tuniq Tower good? Looks really nice but does it cool better than the Zalman 9700?
EDIT: Or the ASUS Silent Knight?

Hmm... questionable. On a good case, there won't be much difference, but supposedly the Tuniq 120 Tower is good yes, but I have that on my brothers build, and there isn't really any temperature change from the two.

Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme
Thermalright IFX-14
Tuniq Tower 120
Zalman 9700NT

Probably in that order too.

(I must put the IFX-14 back in my box one day)

Although it is usually obvious that you can get stuff cheaper on eBay, my last experience with buying cpu fans/heatsinks is they are A LOT cheaper on eBay. I got this for 25 bucks.

I've heard good things about the Thermalright ULTRA-120. Should i get that or the Zalman9700?
