Need help Oc'ing

hey everyone,
A friend of mine just gave me an old pavilion 9600 cto, 384 Ram, 800 mhz slot A and an os. so.... i figured why not over clock it seeing how the RAM is more than adequet and if the processor tops 1.1 ghz ill be fine with it. So I have never Oced befire but I am very familure with the windows enviorment and BIOS but ANY help tips or suggestions I could really use. so far I have only 3 questions:

1. can I use a 24 Pin PSU for a 20?




2.and if it won't display in BIOS an overcock feature can I get some BIOS that will, I have cpuZ,speedfan, and clockgen I just need help with Ocing it,

3. and what is a pll and how can I find out which to use.

thanks and does anyone have any idea how to overclock a ccomputer, it shows nothing BIOS but does that mean it can be done?

you can try to find something for your motherboard... i know asus has a program but its for asus motherboards.
