Yes, it will not matter if the BIOS matches.

He may have been thinking of the registry in the OS, but the links that ssc456 and I posted work around any of those issues.

well this is my present system

well the motherboard wit hhte one ide port wont do it... unless can u put like a converter in to the computer? like put a sata cable with one end connection to the mother board and one end with an ide port? so i can plug in the ide to the sata?

That looks like a micro ATX motherboard. It also looks like you will need at least two IDE connections.

What computer is that and do you know the complete specifications of it?
