In need of backup space...

Well, I guess the OP needs backup space and this is something other than backup services provided by almost every host today. I think a cheap shared account can be used as backup space, check the companies recommended above, say hqhost.net or sibername.com and find a cheap hosting plan with basic features.

I think that it depends on the web hosting provider. I have seen web hosting company offering backyup every 12 hours and I think that it is really great

There are hosting plans with hourly backups, say Serverpoint.com mentioned above offer this service in their shared plans.
