I'm in the process of building my wife a computer. I made a custom pink computer desk with some black crush velvet etc, I sanded down a nice computer case and painted it pink, and everything is pink hehe.

Anyhow back on topic...I was looking at a Asus EN8600GT 512MB (I want the gpu to have around 512MB vram for her 20in monitor), will this GPU be okay? at least run new games on low-med settings? My wife will not do any hardcore gaming, so I don't think it's nescessary to go crazy on the gpu. Any suggestions?

Yes that card would do just nicely for your guys's needs. Next step up i think is the 8800 GT , not into the nvidia phase lol so not sure.

crysis and cod4 work on low/medium with 8600gt

every older game runs great tho

I would, but my wife is not crazy for gaming, plus I have 2 gaming rigs, why a 3rd?

well if you already got two just get the 8600 it isn't really bad!
