memory question

im not the best at computers and i have a question that may be dumb for some of you but i need your help. i did a search on this and didnt get much results.

my motherboard has 2 sets of 2 ram slots, 2 slots for SDR DIMM ram and the other 2 slots are for DDR DIMM ram. Can these work together? I mean I have 512 in each of the ddr slots, if i put 1 gb of ram into the sdr slot ontop of what i have, will that boost me to 2gb total ram? or do these not work together?

motherboard is ECS P4VXASD2+
ASUS im pretty sure

You wont be able to run both ram types at the same time. The only way to run 2GB of memory with that board is 2x 1GB sticks.

make sure you get DDR RAM not DDR2 .
does ddr ram come in 1gb sticks , i thort it only came in 512
