So, where was the short at? Lol, glad you got that fixed.

When overclocking, push your FSB as high as you can get it to be stable at the lowest voltage possible, but I wouldn't lower voltages below stock settings, because that will probably reduce stability. You must also be sure it is thermally stable at this setting as well, and stress test with Orthos, Prime95 or any other "CPU Stresser" to see if it truly is stable.
 
Well, don't take my word for it, I have no personal experience with OC'ing, but I have seen a lot of threads on it. I'm sure another member will have a better way of doing it, but you can always try, lol.

u shouldnt have to touch voltage if your only going to 3ghz
