fresh built comp will not boot

hello all,

ive just finish building a new system but it will not boot...
the light on the mobo lights up but i cant get it running.

specs are..

q6600 quad
p35 platinum mobo from MSI
xfx 8600 gt graphics card
gskill dual channel memory
ocz sli compatible PSU

Does it beep at all when you turn it on?

Double check all cables and connections, make sure all peripherals are fully seated in their slots.

i dont get a beep at all, my hdd wont work nothing!
ive double checked everything to make sure it fits snug... i am really stumped

no, ive been using on a different computer and it worked fine. when i installed it to this new build it wont turn on but the light next to the cmos is on

thenure psu is bad....if u plug it into the wall the fan shouldstart up no matter what.

ive plugged the psu into another comp and it works finee can memory be a problem too?

if it doesnt turn on at all, i think you hooked up your power switch on the case wrong... i mean SOMETHING should turn on if you hooked that up right

you dont understand, the green light on his motherboard is on, meaning he is getting power to the motherboard but it will not turn on, definitely not the wall plug
