i'm kinda in the middle on this, and i'd say just make it all one thread, like the bragging thread I had.

^ yeah I was thinking that also, other forums have done it, a sticky thread for reputation and post count topics and another sticky thread for introduction and welcomes - although the downside of the second option could mean conversation could end up confusing if multiple people 'hijack' the thread by accident.

A sticky sounds like a good idea, and if it is getting off track, all it needs is a mod to give a gentle push back in the right direction.
