help with 2.5 to 3.5 hdd adapter.

so i bought this adapter to hook up my laptop hard drive to my other computer, so i could put a new OS on it, cuz the CD drive on my laptop is faulty, anyway....i plugged it in, booted up my PC, and it get to the part at startup where is says "Detecting IDE drives ..." and it basically just sits there.....anyone know whats going on?

the CPU is a AMD Athlon XP 1350mhz,
and it has 512mb of memory.

hmm did you set the jumpers properly?

yup its the jumpers dude. no problem just make sure u set ur laptop HD to secondary. bcuz u cant have 2 primary's then u should have no problems fro there on
