PCI 2.0 and PCI Ex16

Okay,

I'm going to be building a computer soon...and I haven't really been keeping up to date hardware wise.etc...


...what the hell is PCI 2.0? Is it better than x16?

it just doubles that bandwith of data from a to b. or somthing like that
but pci 2.0 cards will work in pci x16 slots you just wont get the double badwith

It's still going to be a while before GPUs use the whole bandwidth of PCI-E 1.1 so not having PCI-E 2.0 is fine.

but if u r getting a new m/b deff get pcix2 becouse its a better bang for your buck and all gpus will start being made in them

its going to be used in all the future cards like the 9 series and proberly the 10 series?? so you wont have to upgrade ur mobo anythime soon
