Soundcapture or something like it

Hey, I just upgraded to a vista home premium laptop. I had a program called soundcapture on my XP. I am not sure if Vista supports it, but I am getting an error message about my sound card.

I tried other programs, but they record FROM the microhphone. Is there a program that runs on vista that does NOT use the mic. I simply want to record what is playing from the internet..


IF not, is there a way to temporarily disable the mic? I haven't found out yet, but if I could shut it off for a few minutes, that could work too. Either way, I just need help. I want o record stuff again. Please

You could try the program, Hi-Que Recorder. http://www.roemersoftware.com/#Free-Sound-Recorder
They say that you can use it with Vista, and that it will record from Internet Radio.

As for disabling your mic in vista, you go to the control panel, -> Sound -> Speakers -> Levels tab -> click on the mic and make sure that there is a red circle on it.
