yeah, but then again, i tried going back to regular winxp theme and no luck =\
 
Ok, I tried disabling and even un-installing the theme program, and there is still no luck after restart....

Custom themes will do this to your computer, their is no way without reinstalling to fix it in many cases.
 
you could try sfc /scannow, it is the XP version of System File Checker.

Put your XP cd in your rom drive, cancel auto run, go to Start > Run, type in sfc /scannow (note the space between the c and the /, if you type it incorrectly it will not run) then click OK

This will repair any corrupt system files, it make fix it, not really sure, it can't do any harm to try.
 
If you need a copy of an XP disc you can torrent one. Since it's legal to copy the disc, just not to use the keygens that come with the download (usually).

Can I just mount the ISO/DAA on a fake drive and type that in RUN?
