supported ram on this laptop ??????

my girlfriends laptop has 2x pc2-5300 and i was wanting to upgrade it for her but i cant seem to find what the supported ram is on it .. its a COMPAQ C742 chipset - intel GM965 thx

use CPU-Z and find wat type of ram it uses

yeh i knw but i wanna knw what it supports upto pc2 6400 -8500 etc

Go to crucial.com and put in the pc specs and it will tell you what kind of ram it supports.
