Quick CPU Upgrade

Hi, I currently have the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ @2.2GHz with this motherboard http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Pr...goryID=1&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=47&LanID=0. I was wondering if I can simply put in an AMD Athlon 64 X2, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103053, for an upgrade. Does this work out?

yeah go for it. its supports 64X2.

He has socket 939 though, so those unfortunately aren't options.

I was talking about the 5600+ and the 6400+ you recommended. The 4200+ he linked will work, but the 5600+ and the 6400+ are only available on AM2.
