Running without a Disk Drive

I ordered a new system. The parts should be here on Tuesday, except for the DVD drive. I'm really anxious to test it and I wanted to know if I can start it up without the drive.

you can test it, you just cant install windows on it unless its already on there or something

also sigs have to be kept to a maximum of 5 lines

I have windows installed on my hard drives, but I'm gonna probably clean it off once I get everything runny since its a whole new system.

Sorry I didn't know about the sig. I'll fix it right now.

I've heard that sometimes you need to reinstall windows when you get new system parts, but as far as ive seen with my work testing computers with HD from other computers, thats not the case. I'd say go for it. I mean, it can't hurt!

You should always format when you get a new system, Windows is going to get really confused with all of the old drivers.

It is best to just wait it out, and do it right the first time.
