Reformatting w/o reactivating?

I have a custom built computer that i want to reformat. Is there a way that i can reformat without having to reactivate windows xp?

Do you have a recovery partition? you will have to activate after 30days but you don't have to register, the one thing you do need is the CD KEY

i only have one partition, which is the xp.
