Video Card and Monitor options?

I'm looking to upgrade my my monitor and video card after the new year when sales hopefully happen.

I currently have a standard Dell 19" flat screen (not widescreen) and a evga 7600gt.

I'm hoping to go to a 22" widescreen from dell, optimized for gaming/picture quality.

Any other choices around the 300-350 price range while still 22"~ and great looking for gaming?

Also, the vid card I'm looking at is the evga or xfx 8800gts 640mb card. Its around 350-375 (right now) and looks to be about the best for the money. Any know of a better option for that spot while still maintaining ~ price and quality?

Thanks in advance if anyone can confirm/change or object to either choice.

LOL wow the 8800 GTS is NOT worth the money.
get the 8800 GT for 80-120 cheaper and better peformance

get the new 8800 GTS (G92)

I had actually been think of purchasing a nVidia 8800 gts 640 ram... and had been told to go with the 8800 gts 'g92' 512 ram... still trying to determine what the benefit is.. i am aware that the new model is the g92 however I have nVidia 8500 512 ram right now and am looking to upgrade..

the 8800GTS(old) is not worth the money, you should rather get a 8800 GT for more peformancs and cheaper(the new g92 is WAY faster)
