Massive White Screens

If apache had crashed, then the main page wouldn't come up either

Hmm... True. I dont know whether or not Apache Modules can crash.... But if they can, then it perhaps it's PHP?

yeah they always seem to happen late morning / afternoon aussie time when most of you UK guys are asleep. That is why they last so long I think because David is not around to fix it.

had one today for at least 6 hours...who knows how long it had been going before I came on.
