Well, I do believe the 3DFX cards were good, but the main trouble is that the one on my main XP machine, I had problems with one. A 3D Voodoo Banshee. Either crap MS drivers, or that the card was dying. I sometimes had a lock up, and the screen went from 1280x1024 to 640x480 at 16 colors, with a really dim display...as if I had no backlight.

I loved my ol' Voodoo cards. I ran my Voodoo 5 5500 right up until they went bankrupt and support for true XP drivers died. Nvidia was smart and bought up their technology rights and hired much of their developement team.
