i intall xp 64 bit it shows me total physical memory 4094mb and available physical memory is 3.39 i though that this os could hold up to 16gb ?

available physical memory is how much memory is free, or how much isnt being used. right now your using .61GB of ram. windows can use all your ram just fine.

also technically a 64-bit OS paired with a motherboard with a full 64 bit address space can handle 16777216 TB of ram...i find that helpful, just in case you have more ram than that.

Yeah, try to find a board that supports that much lol :p the largest one is 64GB RAM.

Vista tends to Allocate a large portion of memory to your video card, for example, my x1950pro has 256 dedicated ram, but when i go to settings it shows it has 1gb.

Yeah Vista does some wierd stuff with ur memory.. but then again thats y i stuck with XP Pro. but Vista's still great.

@xDrive use a program like CPU-Z to tell u how much RAM u really have
