Why does punkbuster keep kicking me off BF2142?

I play for a minute, and then it exits and a box comes up that says punkbuster, no reason, just says punkbuster with nothing in the box. my ping was about 146, and thats not tooo bad I dont think. I have no mods or anything, I just installed it and the 1.4 patch, any ideas?

try to re-install it and see if you still get the same problem

I think I remember getting this before I formated too. I have vista x64 if that makes any dif.

Are you using Riva Tuner? If so certain versions I think anything below 2.03 people had issues using it on PunkBusters. It has something to do with the way the code was wrote but PunkBusters detects it and kicks you off the game.

on my COD4 disk it has a file named "pbsvc" just right on the disk (no folders). pretty sure its the setup file but it will test your PB.

I have rivatuner 2.06, but I think I didnt have punkbuster installed... I installed it now, and will go try playing as soon as I finish converting a video.

Just tried again, and it kicked me out still, although I had 500+ ping this time, because of my unreliable sprint mobile broadband, that could be the reason this time.
