Wireless connection on my Lenovo very slow

so you mean you can download a file at the speed of upto 9000kb/s
my internet connection speed is around 4mb, and i can download around 400kb/s

anyway did you try downloading the same file on both computers?

Hi, 9000kb/s translates to approx. 9 MB (Megabytes). Connection speeds are calculated in Mb (Megabits). My speed is 9Mbps or approx. 1152kb/s. Although most I've been able to get out of it is about 1120kb/s downloads.

The way I understood it from my service provider is that they rate the speeds sold to you in kilo/mega BITs, where when you are downloading, it is rating the speed of the download in kilo/mega BYTES. So figure your speed you pay for divided by 8 is roughly what you are downloading. :D But that was what I was told at least. ;)

its just the way he first said it i thought he could download a file at 9000kb/s. glad he cleared that up :)
