alright thas awesome... ima take it to a PC Repair place and do that.(i dont have the appropriate PSU yet) im lookin at this one..http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023
is is any good?
its only 40$ and it has all the power connections i need.. 24pin. i plan on gettin some sata drives soon. so i'll need those
@zKiLLA, you can get adapters from 20 pin to 24 pin to adapt your PSU to the new power connector. You don't necessarily have to get a new PSU. It just depends on if you think you need a new one altogether.
That PSU isn't too great, and judging a PSU by the wattage is not a very good way of telling how good it is. That Thermaltake PSU has only 18A on the 12V rail, I recommend 30A+ or anything that has dual rails for a decent build.
the one i have now is only 330max and no i dont plan to be gettin as high end as a 8800. maybe a 8600GT XXX.. would a 430w handle an 8600GT?. and i need a new PSU cuz i have 2 IDE hd's and 2 CD/DVD Drives and that mobo only supports 2 IDE's so im gonna need Sata power connectors
