need help finding out what socket

ok im gonig to upgrade my laptop to a higher CPU and i dont know what socket i have, right now im running a AMD Turion 64-ML-34(1.8GHz, 1MB L2 cache, up to 1600MHZ system bus)

Hmm, bummer. I was going to suggest just ripping it apart and looking on the socket to see what it's labeled, but then I noticed it's for a laptop...

My suggestion is, try a google search based on the mfg. and the model. Usually you will find what mobo goes in them and you should be able to easily find the socket there. If not, post that stuff here and someone will probably know.

Open it up. The white part under the CPU is labeled with the socket type.

774... Hmm... That's a tough one!

I have to say there's not much that I can find to go in that CPU. Just get a desktop...

i was planning on building one later next year because i have to for school but i need the money right now to fix my car, but is there anyway i can use anything else
