this is the mobo i plan to get... but i dont have any SATA drives yet.. i have 2 IDE's, and i just realized if this Mobo support's IDE or not.. just wanted to know if i need to buy a Sata Drive

in the picture it has an IDE connector.. but under Specs it doesn't say IDE

Yes. it has one IDE connector: PATA - 1 x ATA100 - 2 Dev. Max.

PATA = IDE

You'll be able to use both your drives.
 
It can only handle 2 IDE drives, meaning you would be out of a CD/DVD drive.
 
For your original motherboard, you can use that with your IDE hard drives and still be able to use an IDE CD/DVD drive of some sort. I bought a $30 RAID PCI card that had an IDE connector and 2 SATA connectors on it. I used the IDE connector on the RAID card for my hard drives and the motherboard IDE connector for the DVD drive I got.
