Rubbing alcohol

I have to remove the old thermal grease from my cpu because I'm installing a new fan. I have rubbing alcohol with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Is that ok to use on my cpu?

Well I used Q-tips and then I dried it with a coffee filter.
