I'm a first time builder, building a gaming system. You guys have been great answering some of my earlier questions, but it seems like everyday another question pops up.

It's just my nature to panic whenever I try to do something new, I just want this to go without a hitch. I don't want all the parts to get here and then I say damn i fu**ed up.

Basically I've been assured by many of you the my build is solid, BUT I've received complaints of two things. My Mobo, and my case selection. So let me give you my build.

CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz

GPU 8800GT 512 MB

RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220144

MOBO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059&Tpk=p35-ds3l

This Mobo was also suggested to me

Honestly i have no clue what the difference. My budget for the mobo is $140
Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021&Tpk=antec+900
This case was suggested, but I've also heard that it's not noob friendly, and I am a noob.

So this case was then suggested http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137

I like it because its cheaper, but my main concern is over heating. Honestly i could care less about looks. I just want a case that will cool my system, and will not give me much trouble assembling. Budget for the case $120 (a rebate would be nice though :) )

Once again thanks for all your patience and help.

Either motherboard will be fine. They are both very good, quality boards. Save a few dollars and get the Gigabyte.

The Cooler Master case is an excellent choice. It's roomy, easy to work in, and provides excellent cooling with it's 3 installed 120mm fans.

There's nothing wrong with it. It's pretty much overkill for the average user. If you absolutely, positively have to have the best cooling case available, the 900 fits the bill perfectly. Otherwise something like the Cooler Master listed here will work just fine. I have a Cooler Master Cavalier case and it works perfectly for my needs.

Lol, the Antec 900 is far from the best cooling case available. It's not even aluminum, it's steel...(aluminum conducts heat better)
The Antec 900 might be the most overrated computer component ever.
