To begin with I just told my husband over the weekend that the only way to "fix' all his computer problems is to buy a new one and he's going to look into it over the holidays. That being said -
he told me that on Tuesday night he turned the PC on and got a gray box on the screen that said "XTF windows". He said the only way to get rid of it was to turn the PC off and reboot. He said the PC was running more slowly than usual too, which of late has been pretty slow - I'd say at least 10 minutes to get to desktop screen and have the hard drive to stop loading\running.
Then he said he got another gray box that said "Static" and this time the hard drive kept loading\running and he had to shut down again and reboot.
I'm not at all familiar with these messages and am curious if anyone here knows what they mean ---Thanks
