Monitor Responce times

Quick question for all of you.

I'm looking at some Acer 19" regular LCD monitors to use to set up a dual-display. We have two at my work right now that have DVI. THe only difference between the two is the responce rates. One is 2ms, the other is 5. Will I notice a difference at all?

The one with 2ms is about $50 more expensive, but I'm willing to spend it if the difference will be noticeable.

Im not an expert - but i dont think you will be able to notice a difference...

Meh, no, not noticable for gaming, and at that rating, you won't notice ghosting or anything. It'd bother me, but I play games that need very accurate timings, but 2ms to 5ms, is hardly anything, and I wouldn't worry about it.
Even 12ms monitors wouldn't have ghosting to the casual eye.

I don't think the difference would be that noticeable. I have a 19" Acer X192W widescreen LCD w/5ms response time and see no ghosting at all. But to tell you the truth, if could afford to get one with a lower response time, I'd do it.

Mine is 5ms, no noticeable ghosting. I would get the one that looks better.

Anything less than 8ms are considered superior to the naked eye.
